Keeping the Memories Close 👨‍👩‍👦🤗🏡

We Keep Many Memories With Us, but How Do We Make Sure They Aren't Forgotten?

Two centuries ago the camera wasn't invented. Being able to capture a moment in time was only possible through a pen and paper. However, with the introduction of the camera, our society was able to take a single moment in time and cherish it for the result of our lives.

Fast forward to the present day and cameras are now the most commonplace piece of technology out there with the introduction of high-quality cameras on every smartphone. With this technology, we are able to store thousands of photos and memories digitally on a single screen.

To learn more about this new age of technological advancement, check out our blog article about it below:

All that being said, we didn't get here overnight. Over the past century, we've improved on our ability to capture both brief moments as well as recordings of moments. Less than 50 years ago we held on to these memories with the help of the Video Home System or VHS for short. But as the years progressed, these tape cassettes became outdated as newer technologies emerged.

So what happened to all these memories?

Well, for many they are simply lying around in people's basements, collecting dust. Although some folks still have VCRs used to view VHS tapes, the technology itself has become severely outdated so people either throw those out or sell them. Because of this, these very important and personal memories are left in the dark, as many are unable to view them for their own personal enjoyment and remembrances.

There are ways to make sure these memories stay remembered such as digitizing the recordings so that you can view them on a phone or computer. However, for many people, this is something completely beyond their skillset and would not be ideal to do on their own as they wouldn't know where to start.
